Brief about the project
Promoting Leadership of Future Generation Peacebuilders and Changemakers in Nepal is a 10-months project implemented by Women Leaders in Technology (WLiT) in partnership with Dalit with Disabilities Association Nepal (DDAN) with the support of UN Women. The project aims to strengthen the leadership, digital safety, and advocacy capacities of 300 young people, particularly women, women with disabilities, and male allies, to actively contribute to inclusive peacebuilding and democratic governance. Through accessible training, workshops, dialogues, and awareness campaigns, the project promotes digital literacy, counters misinformation, and enhances meaningful participation of marginalized youth in decision-making processes. Guided by the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda, the project fosters inclusive leadership, solidarity, and collective action to build a safer, more equitable, and peaceful Nepal.

Brief about the project
Promoting Dignity and Political Participation of Persons with Disabilities in Nepal (The CLAIM) is a 36-month project (January 2026 – December 2028) funded by the European Union and implemented by a consortium led by Nepal Voters’ Rights Forum (NVRF) in partnership with Dalit with Disabilities Association Nepal (DDAN), Purple Foundation (PF), YUWA, and Equity Society Nepal (ESN). The project is being implemented in Banepa and Panchkhal Municipalities of Kavrepalanchok District, Chandrapur and Gujara Municipalities of Rautahat District, and at the federal level in Kathmandu. The project aims to promote the dignity, political participation, and representation of persons with disabilities, particularly those facing multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination, through a rights-based and intersectional approach. It focuses on strengthening the capacity of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and civil society organizations, increasing civic and voter awareness through accessible information, empowering emerging leaders with disabilities, and advancing evidence-based advocacy to influence political parties, electoral bodies, and government institutions toward more inclusive laws, policies, and democratic processes.
