Our Voice, Our Rights: Leave No Dalit People with Disabilities Behind Project funded by Disability Rights fund (DRF/DRAF) (Till December 2024)
The project directly contributes to strengthen the organizational capacity of DDAN; one of the newest OPD in Nepal to contribute for the disability inclusion and diversity. Similarly, the project builds the capacity and knowledge of the government official and stakeholders as well as lobby and advocate for the disability inclusion in the government programs and budgeting is also aligned with the priority.
In addition to this, the mainstreaming OPDs and Dalit civil society organizations will have enhanced understanding on the need of Dalit people with disabilities and hence starts including the issues and representation of Dalit with disabilities in their programs and mechanisms.
Following are the activities to be undertaken during the project period:
- Organize half day interaction event with mainstream OPDs to sensitize on the diversity of disability beyond impairment.
- Organize half day interaction event with mainstream Dalit NGOs to sensitize on the diversity from intersectional perspectives.
- Organize half day interaction event with mainstream human rights organizations and commissions to sensitize on the diversity of disability from intersectional perspectives.
- Generate awareness through public service announcements from local radio FM and social media.
- Undertake 3 lobby and advocacy meetings with concerned stakeholders for the inclusion of Dalits with disabilities on the contemporary issues.
- Organize half day interaction with mainstream OPDs to sensitize on the diversity of disability beyond impairment.
- Organize half day interaction event with mainstream Dalit NGOs to sensitize on the diversity disability from intersectional perspectives.
- Generate awareness through public service announcements from Local radio FM and social media.
- Organize half day interaction event with mainstream OPDs to sensitize on the diversity of disability beyond impairment.
